Organizational structure

Bellevue NGO is an association of women who have decided to work actively for the development of Benin. The organizational structure of Bellevue ONG is established as follows: the General Assembly (GA), the Bureau of the Board of Directors (BD) and the Supervisory Board (SB).

1. The general Assembly

The General Assembly is the supreme body of the organization. It is made up of all the members of the organization, convened and brought together for this purpose. It meets in ordinary session at least once (1) a year when convened by the President. It may be convened in extraordinary session by the Board of Directors or at the request of at least 2/3 of the members of the Board of Directors if the circumstances so require.

2. Board of directors

Bellevue NGO is managed by the Bureau of the Board of Directors whose members are elected by secret ballot by the General Assembly for a renewable term of five (5) years. The exercise of this function is incompatible with that of the functions of member of the Supervisory Board of the organization. The Board of Directors is composed as follows:

  • A President,
  • A General Secretary,
  • A General Treasurer.

3. The Supervisory Board

The Supervisory Board is made up of two (2) members, elected by the General Assembly.

The Supervisory Board is composed as follows:

  • A President,
  • A Secretary.

The Supervisory Board is in charge of the supervision, the regularity of the activities of the association and the control of the management.

4. The Executive Office

The Executive Bureau is made up of three members: The Executive Director, an Administrative and Financial Services Officer and then a Program Officer.

The Executive Director is the technical expert of the organization. The Executive Director is responsible for the staff of all of the association’s executive office.

The Administrative and Financial Affairs Officer is responsible for monitoring the association’s budget. She prepares the administrative documents of the association.

The Program Officer is responsible for the implementation of the program, the drafting of projects and the promotion of the association.
