From 22 October to 2 November 2023, Bellevue ONG welcomed a delegation from the French secular association AFEJI, which supports vulnerable people, from infancy to old age, to deal with a range of issues: complex family environments, disability, loss of independence, support for family carers, social distress, access to employment, exile, and so on.
Four young people, including three girls and one boy, and two educators took part on the AFEJI side. The activities carried out with Bellevue ONG involved sharing experience in childcare, handicrafts for the beautification of the Bellevue School Complex in Hevie, educational games, etc. “We were very pleased with our stay at Bellevue ONG; we were apprehensive before coming, but everything went well. We hope to repeat the experience very soon,” says Jeremy, one of the educators. The AFEJI delegation took the opportunity to visit some of Benin’s tourist sites, including the lakeside village of GANVIE, the town of Ouidah and the city of Cotonou.
