94% Pass Rate in the 2026 Junior Secondary School Certificate Examination: Bellevue School Complex Reaffirms Its Commitment to Excellence!

After celebrating a 100% pass rate in the Primary School Leaving Certificate Examination (CEP) for the fifth consecutive year, Bellevue School Complex, operated by Bellevue NGO, has once again achieved an outstanding academic performance in the Junior Secondary School Certificate Examination (BEPC) for the June 2026 session.

The results of this national examination, announced on Friday, 3 July 2026, show a national pass rate of 64.14%, compared with 77.25% in 2025. A total of 130,253 candidates, including 64,317 girls, sat the examination across Benin.

Following the school’s exceptional achievement in the CEP, expectations were high at Bellevue School Complex. The results have now been released and once again confirm the high quality of education provided by the institution. Of the 17 candidates presented for the BEPC, 16 successfully passed, achieving an impressive 94% pass rate.

This remarkable success is a great source of pride for the pupils, teachers, parents and the entire Bellevue NGO educational community. It reflects an educational approach built on high standards, personalised learner support and close collaboration between the school and families.

According to Mahouchi KOFFI, Secondary Education Academic Coordinator at Bellevue School Complex, this achievement is the result of a rigorous and consistent educational strategy:

“There are three key factors. The first is the careful selection of our teachers. We recruit teachers who are fully capable of meeting the demands of the profession. The second is our close collaboration with parents. We explain to them how they can support their children’s academic success at home. Finally, we provide continuous follow-up for every learner. We do not leave pupils to manage on their own. We often keep them for an additional 45 minutes to one hour after school to review their lessons and reinforce what they have learned. Our extra tutorial sessions are not organised to generate income but to provide additional learning opportunities through practical exercises. Regular quizzes and weekly tests are part of our approach, and we maintain high standards of discipline without resorting to violence. Throughout the academic year, we prepare our pupils for their final examinations. For nearly five years, this approach has consistently produced excellent results. We also place great importance on the well-being of our teachers. They are treated fairly and paid on time, which strengthens their motivation and commitment to supporting our pupils.”

Beyond examination results, Bellevue NGO believes that academic success is built above all on respect for children’s rights and the creation of a learning environment in which every child can reach their full potential. Close academic monitoring, high-quality teaching, strong family involvement and the recognition of educational staff are the foundations of an approach that continues to deliver lasting results.

Bellevue NGO warmly congratulates the 16 successful BEPC candidates, together with all the teachers, parents and administrative staff whose dedication made this achievement possible. The organisation also extends its encouragement to the one pupil who was not successful this year, assuring them of continued support to help them succeed in the next examination session.

These results once again demonstrate that when educational excellence, positive discipline, strong family engagement and respect for children’s rights come together, lasting academic success becomes a reality.
